Hello, is there a way to permanently turn off Apple's spell checker under Tiger? Systemwide, I mean. Like, I know you can turn off checking as you type separately for some applications, like Mail and Textedit. But I'm using Stickies a lot in class and frankly it's driving me nuts. It will let me turn off spell checking but once I open a new document or restart the application it's back on. Setting the dictionary to multilingual made it somewhat less annoying, but I'm still using lots of abbreviations and such. I realize this is more of a minor inconvenience than a real problem and I don't know why a bunch of little red dotted lines piss me off the way they do... Still, any help would be much appreciated.
