Just as I was thinking about installing Tiger, a thread pops up over on the Genius board talking about Tiger Address Book entries randomly disappearing. Anyone else having this problem? As detailed in another thread, I have over 1,300 contacts in my Address Book. I have them backed up, but I'm not real interested in tracking 1,300 entries for random disappearances. Thanks.

Not a generic problem and if you're backed up you're fine - I use . Mac to back up mine.

Any idea how widespread this problem has been?

holbox's issue is the first I've heard of - http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?t=6944

Not widespread and easy to avoid.

LATEST REPORT:

For 3 days now, I haven't missed an address. I did use the back-up and then shoved that back-up back into the address book. Don't know if that did anything or not, but I couldn't see where it could hurt.

I'll watch the hell out of it and report back if the "Address Nibbleing" starts up again!

Happy to hear it's not widespread but how is it "easy to avoid"?

If you back up regulalry you have no issue. Backup quickpicks will save details automatically to iDisk.

That's a new one on me . I've been speaking Ibizzi re CRM4Mac http://www.crm4mac.com/ and they tell me iCal and Mail are so different under the hood they've had to rewrite completely rewrite it. New launch in 2 months.
