A good photograph with a very pleasant (and suitable) colour palette. But can you explain what’s going on here? Did you use a neutral-density filter and a long exposure?

Thanks.

Exactly, a 1148-second exposure using Singh-Ray's 15-stop ND filter on a bright sunny day.

Sometimes, having to walk the dog in the can lead to nice views when the light is right:

Does anyone have experience printing the large canvas wall art from flickr using photos from an iPhone 5S?

How do they come out?

Can’t help you with your question but I like your composition in that second photo, ezkcdude.

And that is a pleasant (if cold-looking) place, GSpotter. Like most Germans, you seem to operate just fine at horrible hours of the morning.

Depends on what you mean by large? An 8MP file should easily be printable without any nastiness to sizes like 8x12. I wouldn't push it much larger than that, if optimal quality is the goal, but that all depends on the viewing distance as well. You could go to 18x24 if the image will mostly be viewed from a distance (more than 8-10 feet). As for flickr, that depends on how large a file you, or the source, has uploaded. If the file is only 1024x768 I wouldn't go beyond 8x10.

The next day, I was there a little bit later:

Normally, my wife walks the dog at that time, but as she was ill, I had to do it. But I must say - at least when the weather is fine - it's worth it...

We are on the tail end of a cold snap, so we got some rare snow in November.

I love Nubble. I've been there at least 5 or six times since moving up here this summer.

Once I heard it was lit up for the holidays, I knew I had to get back up there.

Count me in as a Nubble fan too! We took a vacation to Maine this summer and it was one of our stops. We spent the previous night in Boston and in the morning some really bad storms moved through the city including a tornado. By the time we got to Nubble it had passed through there and the sky was full of really dark clouds as well as a rainbow. We got a parking spot right at the top and twenty minutes later the place was packed with people.

It's always packed when I go. When I took the last set, it was freezing and dark, so many people stayed in their cars.

it's such a cool spot. it was very low tide last week and you could walk across the channel to the island if you desired. Way too cold for that nonsense.

Went for an afternoon stroll along the Stanley Park Sea Wall today. Not a bad day for mid January.

I don't have much time at the moment as we are building a house (or better: having it built, but there's still enough else to take care of...), so I didn't make many photos recently except from our dog or the building site.

This is nothing great photographically - just taken with PhotoBooth on the iMac - but I thought it was fun. Me and the dog.

I feel like such a drag in this thread right now. I've been taking family snapshot like pictures lately and won't post their pictures online. I'm going to have to be a bit more intentional about taking some pictures to share again. I've been playing with time lapse scenes a bit more lately though.

Haven't been too active at AN lately, guess nothing Apple excites me these days. Anyway here is picture. Winds are drawing the smoke from the many forest fires in BC to the south coast. This is the result.
