I'm sure getting sloshed is at the top of his to-do list when he turns 21.

Happy Birfday!

He could make a visit to good ol' Europe to get a head start . Here in Germany, you can get beer & wine at the age of 16. You are a full adult (including the right to buy liquors) with 18...

Happy Birthday Sam! (BTW: drinking is overrated anyway)

Thanks guys

And I can assure you that getting sloshed on my 21st is so low on my list of priorities that it's not even going to happen.

However, I have another year before any of that. I'm gonna enjoy my 20th first.

Come waste your time with me

Hahahaha! Now that's what I call funny! Mine ships from right under your nose and yours comes all the way from CA. Ouch

I'm just kidding with you, I want you to have your mouse as much as I want mine.

Really though, that sucks.

Come waste your time with me

I'm so goofy...I just figured out who Sam was. Yes, happy birthday!

I'd assumed it was that sammi jo chick from the other place...and if I wished her happy birthday, she might somehow concoct some sort of far-out conspiracy about it, referencing Fox News, Karl Rove, etc., so I just kept quiet all morning, not wanting to stir her up.

If you're so reluctant to celebrate your 21st with copious amount of alcohol, then I will have to do so myself!

Happy 20th BTW.

Happy Birthday! (I'm only 19... )

I'm still 2 years away! Not that I want to drink, but it just sucks when you are not allowed to do something

Deal with it.

Gosh, Sammy, you're not a teenager anymore.

(It's kinda hard to think of a teenager as a paramedic, know what I mean? )

I wish the most special of birthdays to my favorite AN Leo.

*big hug*

Love,

Carol

Does this mean we have to get her a cake with a guy jumping out of it?

Who's volunteering?

I'm not sure that any of us jumping out of a cake would *technically* qualify as a present. Punishment maybe, but....

Hooray for birthdays! Happy birthday Carol.

(maybe we should just have a perpetual birthday thread in AO)

I could probably stand to do a few.

An aside for oldmacfan: Oh boy, do I have a wine to tell you about! I was celebrating a new job I just got and I found this great Oregon pinot noir that I picked out for the dinner I made.

I'm from Oregon originally, so I like to continually try out Northwest wines. It's from the Domaine Serene vineyard and it's their 1999 "Evenstad Reserve" Pinot Noir. Fantastic wine. We had it with a rich soy and butter sauced salmon, oven-roasted white asparagus and sliced strawberries. (I put in the food because I knew Carol would like to hear about it.)

Actually, I could pop out of the cake and make Carol dinner. That would work. Geez, somehow I got back on topic with the thread...weird.

Unfortunately, I have to go to work now, so I do not have the time to make the picture, so I just have to tell you the idea (and maybe some kind sould will provide the pic):

I imagine a big cake which opens and a small, black shape emerges slowly at the top. In the dim light, it looks a bit like the head of a snake or a pole or .... (nooo, this couldn't be). Then it becomes clear: It is the guitar from the aldo nova shape (you know, pauls apple nova logo) and he's playing a glam rock version of happy birthday

Happy B-Day, Carol!
