Just wanted to send out a public (yet anonymous) thanks to the users who've donated some money to cover the costs of running AN and keeping it ad free.

No, not really money problems. Rather some people offered to help chip in, and asked us if that would be an option we'd make avialable. Considering up until now the costs have all been out of pocket, we were cool with that suggestion.

Oh, it was tongue in cheek ... and I didn't mean it to be taken as disrespectful.

More of a follow on from the rep thread - seeing that Jack's rep is untouchable and he was instrumental in getting this site up and running I thought it would be an apt tribute. I wouldn't want his account to be broken into or used posthumously. I meant that it would be a nice touch for an anonymous bit of rep kudos (of Jack's scale) for those who offered financial support to the site ... even if it came from him by name only and it was not his actual account.

But, it's not important. Nice to see a Donate link up there though.
