I got a problem where iTunes has stopped recognising some of my albums. I running iTunes 4.7.1 on Windows XP (SP2)
The files have worked before and appear in the itunes library but when i tried to play them nothing happens. I tried clearing the library and reimporting the folders but now they don't appear? (Although the total files number at the bottom does include them?) Any ideas, or do I have to re-rip the CDs? |

I believe the problem might be that you are running Windows XP(?) I'm not familiar with that specific program, but it might be the cause of your problems.
But seriously: when you navigate to the files in your library using explorer, are they there and can you open and play them in another player? |

The files don't play with a different player, I guess that are corrupt on the system. This is weird as they still work on my ipod ??
Is there any way to download the music from the iPod so I don't have to re-rip the CDs? |
