I just noticed this little statement at the end of an Apple Insider article.

What does everyone think? Another iPod campaign, or will they finally advertise their computers?

They used to advertise their computers. Rember the "Switch" adds?

I think MacBooks are released next Tuesday along with a huge marketing campaign for them.

Instead of "Switchin'," the new ad campaign will be "Bitchin'."

In the UK they have Apple computer TV ads. Probably in the US too.

Really? When? I've never heard of that.....

EDIT - Just googled.. Perhaps that's a London only, or network specific thing.
I know we never had them in the South West.. Or is it only recently?

They've shown the Intel switch ad on most channels here. Remember this thread?

Apple hasn't had any television spots here for its computers in years.

If you're thinking about the shadowy dancing iPod commercials, though, that's a totally different subject.

I think I saw one in the UK on a hotel channel once. I thought I was dreaming. It was like seeing a Unicorn out of the window or something!

I have just read a lot of accounts of the G5 one being banned, so I guess that proves it must have been shown to have had the 8 (EIGHT!) compaints that had it taken off the air!

It takes hundreds or thousands to get most of, but then perhaps there is a conspiracy against Apple!

Was it the one with the G5 sending the guy through the wall that got banned? What was wrong with that?!

They had the Keifer Sutherland narrated commercial about the Intel switch just a couple months ago. Granted, no Apple computers were shown during the commercial, but it was a commercial about Apple computers.

I don't think I've seen a good Apple computer ad since the Yao / Verne Troyer PowerBook commercial.

Ah, okay. I thought that Intel spot wasn't shown here (or at least was shown very little) because I never saw it once outside of Apple's website.

I remember seeing two distinct versions of the Intel/iMac commercial. I think the narration was a little different.

The iMac Core Duo ads were played numerous times over here, Apple Australia must of upped the advertising budget for about a month... every 3rd ad was either the iMac Core Duo or iPod+iTunes ad

Pay attention, and you can learn something new every day here at AN.

From Dictionary of the Scots Language:

Guessed I missed it. Only saw the ad twice anyway. My main point was there was an Apple computer ad on TV this year in the United States.

I'd take a shot at him in Gaelic, but if he can't even get "Och", then I suppose there's not much use
