But it is a bit odd that it contains the logo for a party, not a candidate, as the other two do.

But I went to Bob Barr's website, and he, um, doesn't really have much of a logo, so that's understandable. Maybe there could be a picture of Babar, like the Daily Show put up.

On a side note, since I've reviewed the major candidate's websites...am I the only one who thinks that Bob Barr's splash page is eerily similar to the splash page BarackObama.com had for most of the campaign? A simple blue email sign-up page, with the "Join Now" and "Continue to Website" buttons in the exact same spots...and good god, is that Gotham?

It's also really slow, but perhaps that's to be expected for Election Day Eve.

Actually, yeah, I wanted to make sets for each potential victor, but I completely forgot. Just shortly after McCain's speech and my rum-kahlua egg nog ran dry was when I realized that time was short to make one for Obama. I literally just finished saving and uploading seconds before his acceptance speech started.

I know you're exaggerating but I hope you don't feel that way about Gotham. It's started showing up everywhere now.

And I like it.

To be honest, it's Optima that has horrid connotations for me. Not because of McCain, but because of Penguin's 1960s "panic top."* That font is forever ruined for me, and I don't think McCain's militaristic logo will help.

*In the 1960s, and in between art directors, Penguin's market share started slipping. Some obviously unartistic exec decided that the best thing to do would be to slap "A PENGUIN BOOK" across the top of every cover in 24-pt Optima, with absolutely no regard for the design of the rest of the book. Penguins had previously been notable for their design restraint, and in many ways the "panic top" signaled the end of that era, as the 70s brought many more unabashedly "selling" covers to the publisher.
