Hi guys, is there any way to get Mac OS to do multiple key repeat?
For example, if I press 1 and 2 on my keyboard at the same time I get: 122222222222 What I want is 1212121212121212 This isn't a NKRO question, Mac OS definitely knows that I'm still holding both keys at the same time. Thanks! |

(edit) turns out I didn't read the question right.
Yes. Starting in 10.8 Mountain Lion (or so), holding a key instead shows special characters. But you can go back to the old behavior. https://www.howtogeek.com/267463/how...ting-in-macos/ explains how. It's basically a command-line one-liner: Code:
defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false Contrary to the instructions there, I don't think rebooting is necessary. I'm guessing quitting and reopening the respective app is, though.Last edited by chucker : 2020-04-21 at 10:54. |

I am not sure this can be done. On a pure human interface question -- what is the expected behavior of simultaneously holding down two keys?
It's faster to just copy and paste your 12 repeats. |
