Yah I remember that one. Probably the best consultancy ad ever done.

This one is many times better.

I like the Ambien CR one, with the lady in the short black hair who can't sleep. She's cute when she wakes up and ruffles her husbands hair. Nice smile. Kinda reminds me of Molly Shannon.

Yes, all my favorite commercials involve women I find sexy.

You should like this one, Paul.

Love (not a complete list):

Orlando Jones for 7Up ~ Taste Test

The quality is poor, and it's not as brilliant as the 60 second version (which I'm still hunting)... but still genius.

or

this classic from E*Trade

All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand.

Actually, not really. It was too stupid and they were too cheesy/bubbleheaded. Had about the effect on me as those "Girls Gone Wild" commercials...nothing. Fewer things less sexy than trying, on purpose, to be sexy.

Now show me a naturally sexy, flippy-haired soccer mom using Windex on a French door, battling a migraine at her desk or brewing some hot, tasty coffee, and I'm all over it!

I have specific tastes...

Each person in the chain sees someone *else* doing something nice, and so they do something kind as well.

I know this is from the first post... but I saw this commercial (or a new one similar to it) towards the beginning of this summer during the NBA playoffs (I was watching a game with friends and we had a DVR and watched it over and over again). Anyway, in the commercial amidst all these random acts of kindness, one clip is two kids playing basketball (older/younger brother maybe?) and the taller kid blocks the CRAP out of the little kid and the ball rolls towards the street where someone stops it from rolling into the street. We just thought it was absolutely hilarious that in this commercial based on kindness and whatnot they chose to show that particular basketball scene.

They would like you to think so. It's actually just wax.

I have a few favourites... Dutch commercials!

This one is great... but very NSFW!

This one is a stunning classic from 'Centraal Beheer'... they have a tradition of making great commercials.

And, last one... just think its so funny!

I just ran across this hilarious Xbox 360 commercial while looking at flash mob videos. Apparently it was banned (srsly?), but I could kinda see why. Its so fun and the music makes it better. My school wanted to do a flashmob like this but we ended up doing an underwear run instead .

Yeah, that was a great one they had ready when the 360 originally came out. Would have been awesome

As I remember it, that commercial wasn't actually banned - Microsoft simply chose not to air it. Of course, the easily frenzied gaming blogosphere immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was "ZOMG 2 HOT 4 TEEVEE!!!!1"

If Microsoft actually decided to leak the commercial as a "banned ad," it was a genius marketing move. I'm sure a lot more people watched that YouTube video because it was "BANN3D!"

and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong

Unfortunate Ad Placement

I've also really like this ad for Smirnoff, where everything the human race has ever dumped in the sea flies back onto the land. I'm just not sure what it has to do with Vodka.

Wow, that ad for restless leg syndrome, where, under 'side-effects', they mention:

Oh, by the way, when taking this product to calm your legs, if you feel intense gambling and sexual urges, you might want to contact your doctor.

Just... weird.

I know. That always makes me laugh. I guess your leg twitching was a natural release valve for any gambling/sexual urges...releasing nervous energy or something?

But you go and solve the leg thing, then all of a sudden you might find yourself wanting to get gangbanged on a roulette table...a wang in one hand, greyhound racing form in the other?

Hardly seems an ideal "fix" to the problem...

Just adds to my long-held belief that all these prescriptions bring up more problems than they fix. Everyone just wants to take a pill for something, but it's never that easy.

Has anyone seen the Jack-in-the-Box ad for their new salad? It features a guy driving his salad-mobile down the highway.

Underneath, the fine print reads "Professional Salad Driver on Closed Course. Do Not Attempt."

I always grin when I see that silly Dyson vacuum cleaner commercial.

It starts off with these low-powered vacuums making squeak-toy noises -- you know, like those squeak toys you'd give to a child or to a dog.

I especially love the noise made by the vacuum cleaner on the stairs.

I guess I love commercials with a sense of humor and an easygoing attitude toward selling their product. Gives the product some credibility, imo, because you imagine the ad agency people and the company marketing people are laid-back, cool, down-to-earth human beings, instead of money-grubbing creeps.

Another commercial I like is the Iam's cat food ad.

It starts with a cat lying belly up on his owner's lap/out-stretched legs, with a blissfully comfortable look on his face, eyes closed, feet in the air ( I *love* the feet in the air).

The phone rings, and the guy tips the handset off its cradle with his foot, to stop the ringing and to avoid disturbing his comfy, blissed-out cat.

The one thing I can't help noticing is that the cat's belly fur is sort of oily, as if people with hand lotion on have been madly patting his belly for the last hour or two, to get him all relaxed for the commercial.

(I like to envision the behind-the-scenes scenarios on how they got that cat to cooperate for the filming of the ad. )

gorrilla plays the drums to phil collins in the air tonight. Love watching it maybe it's because i love that track.

The advert is for Cadburys chocolate. That helps too.

Watch this ad:

Target Your A-Zone

Is it my childish schoolboy mind, or does anyone else just think "Butt Cream!" throughout the voiceover?

I despise the allergy commercial that has a bee with a Spanish accent.

Why can't the bee speak normal English, for godssake?

Is that too much to ask?

Has anyone else seen the ridiculous Viagra "language" ads?

Example

Don't you find them irritating? And does Viagra really need advertising? Please - I'm pretty sure every guy with a droopy penis knows what to ask the Doc for...

My new, absolute favorite: MasterCard commercial with kids doing robot dance, wearing backpacks, walking down the hallway

The resolution on youtube isn't very good, but if you get a chance to see it live, the 3rd kids facial expressions are awesome. I chuckle everytime I see it - even when I rewind and play it again.

Do you know where children get all of their energy? - They suck it right out of their parents!
