Hi all,

So i'm just wondering...

I have a Lacie drive at the moment which is used to back up my MBP using Time Machine, and i'm planning on buying another external drive tomorrow for putting media files on, and maybe for my iTunes library in the future.

What I'd like to know is, will my Lacie drive thats used for Time Machine be able to store a backup of this new drive i'm getting?

I'm hoping to simply drag across, every so often, the contents of the new drive and hope it doesn't muck up the Time Machine archive.

Also ... does anyone use SuperDuper instead of Time Machine? Is there any advantages or disadvantages?

Update: I've since went out and bought a new hard drive (Freecom 160GB portable), and have downloaded SuperDuper! to use the new drive as a bootable duplicate of my MBP.

Does anyone know if I can stop Time Machine prompting me every time I insert a hard drive? Its getting to be really annoying!

Thanks a lot for any responses,

Steve.
