In the logo, it seems "apple" is in Helvetica, but "nova" is in Arial. Is this intentional?

I don't think would be too tough to use the Helvetica Neue included with iOS.

It's definitely not Arial. The top-left stroke of Arial's lower-case 'a' is diagonal, whereas Helvetica's (and the AN logo's) is straight.

Code:
font-family: Helvetica,Arial;
So, it should only use Arial if it can't find Helvetica.

That said, the foot/spur/outstroke/whatever on the lowercase 'a' does look different in "regular" versus "bold" Helvetica. Maybe that's what's throwing you off?

It's an image. AFAICT, you're not replacing it with text anywhere, nor does it scale as a vector graphic.

(Or are you generating that image somewhere on the server side?)

I'd all forgotten about the title.

FWIW, the image version of the logo on the Pro theme is set in Helvetica Neue.

Yeah, the Arialish foot/whatever of the "a" is what confused me. I tested Neue Light and Neue Medium in Pages on my iPhone and they both had the same type of foot. I didn't check Bold--it, in both Helvetica and Helvetica Neue, uses the Arial style.

This actually annoys me. Why would Helvetica's bold weight be designed like that, but medium isn't? And if there's a good reason, why doesn't Arial follow the same pattern?

Wait… think about what you wrote there for a moment.
