No. It's just one (or should be).

A bomb dropped during WWII should be counted as "causing casualties" regardless when it goes off. Had it been dropped in December 1943, but didn't detonate until March 1945, anyone it injured/killed would have been called a "casualty of war". So, when is the cutoff date? May 1945? August 1945? June 6, 1972?

The bomb was dropped during WWII with the intent to kill/injure. That it didn't do so for 75 years does not remove the intent. So, I would call the four injured people "casualties of war". Not a great distinction, but it would do a lot more to educate humans on the long-lasting effects of their actions toward one another.

A great example is that of murder. I point a gun at someone and pull the trigger with the intent to murder them, but they survive. I am now charged with Attempted Murder. However, if that person ultimately dies from that injury, even twenty years later, I can be charged with murder.

The principle is the same.

I truly have no idea, that's why I asked. I wasn't sure how such an event was marked/recorded, or the reason/cause attributed.

**Silly Crime News**

Man Sentenced to 9 Years in Prison After Spending $900K in Fraudulent PPP Loans at Strip Clubs, Buying Lambo

Criminal mastermind!

Quote:
A Houston man has been sentenced to 9 years and 2 months in prison for fraudulently obtaining over $1.6 million in coronavirus Paycheck Protection Program loans, CBS News reports.

Lee Price III, 30, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering in September, after he sent in loan applications to two different lenders for $2.6 million. After receiving $1.6 million, he bought a Lamborghini Urus, a Ford F-350, a Rolex, dropped $2,000 at a strip club, $2,500 at night clubs, $700 at a liquor store, and paid off a property loan, before the DOJ took back $700,000. And while CBS News reports that Price spent $2000 at a single strip club, ABC News and KHOU 11 report that Price blew thousands at multiple strip clubs.
Priorities!

Quote:
To secure the funds, Price reportedly fabricated payroll expenses and employee numbers for three businesses, including one called “Price Enterprises,” which he claimed had 50 employees and a monthly payroll average of $375,000. As it turned out, authorities said there was no indication he ever hired anybody or had a payroll for the business.
"Hey, they'll never know. I got this!"

Idiot.

I do give him a bit of credit for the sheer size of his balls.

Quote:
“Mr. Price hopes that others will learn from his reckoning that there is no easy money,” Tom Berg, Price’s lawyer, told the Washington Post in an email. “He has the balance of the 110-month sentence to reflect, repent and rebuild his misspent life.”
I'm sure that's what he'll be doing.

UPDATE: I've read a couple of other articles on this guy. It's as though he truly thought it would never get found out, and that he could just gin up some fictitious company with 50 (nonexistent) employees/$375K monthly payroll and that nobody from the government would do some checking/follow up. Did he truly think that's how it worked..."hey, I can apply for over a million in loans, I just need to say I have a company! Hell, they ain't gonna check...".

Meanwhile, that's all they're gonna do, bonehead.

I bet those were some quality strippers.

Then again, it sounds to me like he has a small brain and, thus, low standards for the ladies. Sooooooo …

Scary thing? I doubt he's some lone, isolated case.

Think of all the others like him who've pulled this sort of stuff in just the past 12-18 months, using all that's going on in the world as some shield or reason/excuse to try.

"I can get free money!"

Uh, no the hell you can't.

Exactly.

Thanks to him, a bunch of Houston-area strippers now have that tacky, soul-crushing tattoo and/or piercing they’ve always wanted!

“Dude was throwing around $100 bills all night, so, naturally, I went and got Count Chocula tattooed on my cooter!”

Off course you did, Lexxus. And your stepdad couldn’t be happier!

Ron Jeremy Gets New May 2 Trial Date in Los Angeles County Rape Case

He's looked better.

Should he be acquitted, I suppose he's got a future as a seasonal mall Santa Claus?

...

...

On second thought, that's probably not the best idea either. People sitting in his lap is probably what got him into all this trouble to start with.

I believe I mentioned this way upthread, on another Jeremy article posted here, but this fool is still in jail, 17 months after his June 2020 arrest. I can't recall what his bail was, but I remember being stunned that he didn't have it, after nearly four decades in showbiz/entertainment. He obviously saved/invested nothing he earned in all those years.

I don't know him at all nor what he looked like before... but now there is no way I would have thought of him as a porn star.

I absolutely refuse to DuckDuckGo his name. While I'm curious what he looked like "in his prime" I'm not that curious to do a search on it.

Yeah, he looks like he belongs on a mountainside of West Virginia.

Sorry to burst the silly bubble, we now have the Novemeber totals for rainfall in the flooded areas. Five of these atmospheric rivers in November brought 540mm (21.25 inches) of rain to the area, which is the most rainfall ever recorded in the region. That of course was mixed with river flooding from upstream snow melt in the mountains. All I can say is I'm glad it's over, no more atmospheric rivers predicted for the near future.

PB PM, my friend took a 10-day trip to Vancouver Island in her camper van about a month ago. I've learned so much about the area (well, the island). She went out to scout possible future locations for her tiny home on wheels back in Calgary. She hopes to move to the island, permanently, within the next couple of years.

She sent me pics/video the entire time and I think it's amazing there...Port Renfrew, Sooke, Ft. Road Hill(?) Lighthouse, Victoria, Gabriola Island, Nanaimo, Parksville, Ladysmith, etc. All places I hope to visit with her someday not too far away.

We're saving Tofino for when I come out...she stayed on the southern and eastern parts for her time there, but we'll cut across to the west coast/Pacific for a few nights.

Thinking about heading out that way for a few weeks next year myself. Road trip around the Olympic Peninsula, up the San Juans and on into Canada.

Vancouver Island is beautiful, no doubt about it. Been to all those places, at least once (expect Tofino sadly), since my mum grew up there. The Northern parts of the Island are also well worth the trip!

There's a reason that Vancouver is able to attract so many television projects - it has absolutely spectacular locations and I am envious of y'all who are able to go check them out.

Until they moved production to Los Angeles in the final few seasons (and changed the whole look/vibe of the show), those earlier, classic seasons of The X Files were filmed in/around Vancouver.

That was how I first became aware of it and how pretty it was. All those scenes in forests or small, quaint towns, etc.

I should map out a Scully Was Adorable/Hot Here tour!

“Here’s where she stood when she stared incredulously at Mulder that time, and, just a mile down the road is where she told him he was crazy as she spoke all clinically and dismissive about his theory. Later on, we’ll visit the location where she rolled her eyes and furrowed her brow at Mulder!”

“Which episode?”

“Yes.”

You could do the same thing with a few shows, I recognize many locations used for filming the original Stargate series.
