Since the AirPort Express' USB interface is only printer-compatible ... I was curious if it still provided power, as some devices only connect to USB to draw power to be provided for the device ...
I was thinking that with such a device like the Griffin RoadTrip, the FM Transmitter can be removed and used with AirPort Express. It only has a USB connector to draw power when disconnected from it's auto charger. The Apple site doesn't indicate anything that would suggest that the AirPort Express's USB interface does or does not provide power. Since it is an "all-in-one-unit" with a built-in power supply, one would think the USB interface does provide power. With the Griffin RoadTrip connected to AirPort Express, this brings "wireless" to a new level - combining our car and home/office luxuries. I wonder if this was something intended at the moment from either company. |

Actually ... I thought it would have been a better idea if AirPort Exress had a built-in FM transmitter. Oh well.
