I have had a problem for about a week where I can't access http://discussions.apple.com/ on any system on my LAN. I am guessing it is somesort of DNS thing - I use OpenDNS - but can't seem to track it down. Either that or Apple blocked my IP address. I know I bought a android device, but that is a little harsh.



It seems like I am communicating with a apple server out there, but they just don't like me for some reason.

Anyone ever run into this before?

How about https://discussions.apple.com/welcome which is where I get redirected to from your link?

Do you have any proxies configured as that might be another cause?

I actually had to go to a friend's house yesterday to look up some info. Does work on my cell phone so it is unique to my network/IP

Weeeeel.... I think I found the problem; a juvenile case of IDGAF.

Apparently, if you tinker with Tor whatsoever, and I'm not talking big bad exit nodes, but basic hobbyist-level curiosity, they blacklist your ass.

This is absolutely stupid and, well, disappointing coming from a technology company.

I understand why Hulu or wikipedia would block exit nodes. Users may be trying to get around Copyright/User bans. But blacklisting non-exit nodes is a straight-up dick move; guilt by association at best.

I mean come on Apple! I love working and learning new technology like this. You are going to burn my IP because I'm curious?
