QuickTime Pro lets you view and do some editing (speed, some sound-related tihngs, add subtitles, cut out parts..), while iMovie lets you put a load of (QuickTime, or any compatible format) videos and/or pictures into one video, and lets you add a multitude of effects and transitions and cetera. The only large benefit personally with QT Pro, is that I can download things from QuickTime when it's inside the browser and not have to right-click-Save-As... or anything.
Also, QuickTime does some video converting/exporting (or, Pro at least ?, I don't know if it's Pro specific), and iMovie also lets you export in a differenet formats... iMovie makes movies from moviettes , QuickTime lets you view movies , QuickTime Pro lets you do some general editing. |
