My 20" iMac Duo has an annoying vibration, sort of like a low pitch hum with a knock in it.

Sounds like it could be one of the fans. I'd definatly get that look at by Apple.

This is a fan problem, no doubt. If Apple cannot fix this, and believe me, you are in for a real hassle because I am sure the last thing you want to do, now that you have everything loaded and set up, is to send it back for repairs for 2 weeks, you may consider some low-tech compromise like putting some kind of vibration-damping material down between the cpu and your table. I returned a powerbook for this reason. I sympathize.

Thanks for the replies. I tried the vibration damping fix. No go. Glad I got AppleCare
