I know it seems early, but it's time for March Madness yet again.

I just got an email from CBS Sportsline reminding me about our group last year. I just went to the site and if people want to do it again this year, I'm up for it. Hopefully more than the four people who did it last year will want in.

AppleNova Tournament Group

You'll need to sign up for a CBS Sportsline account if you don't already have one.

The group password is: applenova

You can also submit more than one bracket if you want. (I do an upset laden one and then a more realistic one)

Hopefully my Drexel Dragons can get in the Dance this year. Go Dragons!!

I think I may get in on this. I am a die hard college bball fan. My team Kentucky is struggling though. It's embarassing....

I'm in!

Since we can put in more than one bracket, I'll put in my serious one and my coin flip one. Yes, that's right. I do an entire bracket by flipping a coin. (I actually got Florida into the Final Four last year with my quarter bracket, and I got Gonzaga into the elite eight the first time they were a real competitor, too.)

I know the field is announced next Sunday, but what day does the tournament actually start?

[edit]
Nevermind, I found what I was looking for. I guess I should have read the confirmation e-mail. We have until 11 AM EST on Thursday to make our picks. I'll probably make mine Monday night.

My home college team (Wright State) gets to beat up on Wisc. Green Bay tonight at our Nutter Center in the Horizon semifinals. I already have a ticket, but I have another event to go to this evening that is causing me to miss it.

BUT, it's very likely we'll be in the finals Tuesday, so I'll be there where we'll be up against Butler or Loyola.

Well my Dragons will be sweating it out all week to see if we can get an at-large bid, but if George Mason wins the CAA tonight, there's pretty much no shot.

Looks like DU is headed to the NIT this year. At least we still get to keep playing.

I'm down considering my hockey team is going nowhere fast.

In case anybody is interested Cisco is picking up the tab and making the ESPN360 live webcasts of the games free through March 15, perfect for the championship games this week. The service kind of sucks, but I was able to get my best results using Camino rather than Safari and Shiira.

Guess I've gotta pull for Wright State, though I don't follow basketball much.

FUCK THIS SHIT!!

How do they keep K-State out of this? We were six points away from beating Kansas yesterday, we slaughtered Texas Tech (who got in) by over 20 points two days ago, we've beat Texas, had two losses after we lost a major player for the season, rebounded, won 9 road games and finished 22-10 overall. Yet they let crappy teams like Illinois and Arkansas in?

Madness indeed...

See, Im to the point anymore where I hope for losses just so that Tubby gets fired. I think he is a terrible coach and is ruining the program. He needs to go.

I think they're still trying to get things set up.

Some real questionable inclusions and snubs by the committee this year. They've definitely got a boner for the ACC.

How the hell did Stanford get in?

Drexel and Syracuse got hosed.

I was thinking the same thing about Stanford. The amount of mid-majors that got in this year was disappointing.

Drexel really got the hose this year. Right after the brackets were announced, one of the talking heads on CBS said that Drexel did everything right for a mid-major to get in and then they still couldn't get in.

WTF is with Stanford and Illinois getting in?

The one team I didn't want in UNC's bracket, Texas, is the 4 seed. I'm more concerned about UT than I am about GU. Go Heels!

And Dook a higher seed than BC? That's ridiculous.

Wiscy would be a good team if Alando didn't forget to show up for the big games. They are overrated, but they'll get to the sweet 16 at least.

My Noles' bubble burst again... stupid mid-major garbage. I guess beating #1 ranked Florida and having all of your losses be to RPI top 50 teams isn't as good as only loosing 3 games and playing one of the weakest schedules in the country. But hey, it doesn't matter because Florida State will represent in the nations oldest, and most prestigious post season college basketball tournament as a #2 seed.

90% of statistics can be made to say anything 50% of the time.
