You may remember the last time this thing tried to get off the ground, back in March.

After more than three months of delays due to severe hail damage from a freak storm in February, Atlantis is finally patched up, loaded up, and ready to fly. First launch window is tomorrow evening, with current launch time being 7:38 PM EDT.

I'll be doing my normal recording method, then uploading to my server in MPEG-4 and then to YouTube shortly after the launch.

I'm scheduled to be at a dinner during the launch. I'll be looking forward to someone hosting a hires copy so I can watch it later. I'll even pass out cookies. (Not like I don't already!)

Zaragoza, Spain's emergency landing site just went red for weather, however right in the middle of CNN's report on it, the one in France went green. As long as just one of them is still green in 20 minutes, we'll be good.

Argh, this is annoying. My hard drive is too full to capture the video, and I can't have the video camera and the external HD connected at the same time.

I'll work on that and get it up tonight sometime.

This is straight from the stream so it is a bit small. VLC opens it but I haven't tried anything else. Try to download, not play in your web browse.

My full record is compressing right now. I'll put up a better one tomorrow.

It will be the same quality, but the full 640x480. For some reason when I record from my TV it gets scrunched into 16x9. iMovie always "fixes" that for me when I import, but somehow Auto DV Letterbox had gotten turned on somehow...

So this one will be letterboxed 16x9. Tomorrow I'll re-import it and re-upload.

Does anyone have a copy that is just from NASA without CNN's comments? I've learned stuff I had forgotten from them, but I would like to keep a copy that isn't cluttered by CNN chatter.

I couldn't even get yours to work in VLC. Kept giving me decoder errors and just quit.

No good on QuickTime with Perian and all that either.

Yeah, I've the feed from NASA, but since PKID already posted the launch, I've edited together a bunch of alternate views of the launch (I'm squeezing it down right now to make it more web-friendly).

I can do the regular launch a bit later if anyone wants it.

I would love both and you don't even need to make your edit web friendly for me. It's bound for my iPod and viewing through iTunes.
