So I have some video files, and they're in the .mkv format. They play okay on VLC, but every three seconds or so it skips a couple frames and looks jolty. It's kinda jarring to see that happening so often, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any other video players out there. I'm running a PowerBook G4, btw, and have the latest VLC installed.

Sargasm,
Keep in mind that Matroska is not a codec, but rather a so called container file type. Not unlike the native .mov format from QuickTime, by the way. This means that inside this container many different codecs can and will be used. So even when you have something that plays .mkv, there is no guarantee that it's capable of playing all of them. |
