Occasionaly I lose the ability to use standard keyboard commands in Illustrator such as constrain and pan. (SHIFT and SPACEBAR respectively). Sizing objects with the scale tool seems to still work as does selecting the pan tool in the toolbar. I just can't use the keyboard.

Only work around seems to be closing app and relaunching, opening file and then they work again. Sometimes I have been able to get them going again but am not sure what I did to accomplish that.

Objects are not locked, single layer file and yes the keyboard is plugged in. Been using Illustrator for 6 years and this is kicking my butt!

Any thoughts or anyone with the same problem? We have 3 identical G5 workstations and all 3 experience this issue from time to time.

Thanks in advance!
