I'm curious as to the current feeling out there about "communal" add-ons to peoples' personal blog sites. Services like Technorati, Flickr, del.icio.us and other connective technologies that provide dynamically updated featurettes for peoples' sidebars all over the web. None are really vital, some might be beneficial, some addictive and some might be a right pain in the neck to tend.
Can you guys list any other services than the ones that I've mentioned and comment on their usefulness? For instance, Flickr looks nifty at first but is it really any more useful for visitors than pointing them to a .Mac album? |

It shows what songs/artists/albums you've been listening to and you can configure it to show a list on your blog, etc. Usefulness: Mild to Moderate. You can find out about new artists and music. |

I use last.fm. So far I haven't really found it great for finding new music, though I've never really tried. To find new music, I prefer using Amazon's "Customers also liked..." feature.

I've seen some guys using Rollyo but I figure who wants to search specific sites that I've selected? In fact, I don't WANT you to know the sites that I prefer to get my information from... I mean, how do I stay original if everybody is getting their news from SniffMyBoobies.com
