What is the meaning of life? What means what? What matters? Why does it matter if you're a beggar in the street, or Steve Jobs, if you die at the end anyway? Why? Why? Why?

Why all of this? Why this life? Why are things the way they are? Why are the laws of science and physics the way they are? Why does any of it matter if we die anyway? How can anyone care about anything when they know they're going to die anyway?

These are questions that have been plauging me the past few weeks, so I thought I might as well be plauged by them with some company.

Who said it does? Your answer to my question may determine the answer to yours.

If I prick you, do you not bleed? Temporal issues matter because they can cause you pain or comfort, in the least.

There is no meaning to life, so just like, put a bag over your head and lay under the table.

But, has the future already happend, and we just can't see it yet? In that case we're already dead...

Whether or not the future has happened is irrelevant because we cannot observe future events. It also implies that we exist in a nondeterministic continuum when, clearly, we do not.

The meaning of life is to play awesome111!1!1! Call Of Duty games over a hardwired connection.

That is all.

I'll bite. It's OK if you kill yourself, so don't feel guilty about it.

Just end it. You've actually already done it, but you just can't see it.

Life is an empty vat; there's no predetermined meaning of life... but you can give it meaning. Life's what you make it. It's as simple as that.

And it's NOT OK if you kill yourself (never should anyone give such an advise to others, even if it was meant as a joke ). Better make your life as interesting and worthwhile as you can make it, while you're still breathing.

Blah blah blah, yeah yeah, don't kill yourself.

You can however, kill your account here if you like. Yeah, that's what I mean. Kill your virtual self.

Hell, for all I know you've already been banned again and I just can't see it.

His mom won't tell him, he's supposed to work it out himself within the peer group. Or something.

Ask Homer. Looks like he knows.

Homer: God, what's the meaning of life?
God: Homer, I can't tell you that, you'll find out when you die.
Homer: Oh, I can't wait that long.
God: You can't wait 6 months?
Homer: No, tell me now...
God: Oh, OK... The meaning of life is...[Theme music starts and the show ends]

It's a loaded question, that's for sure.

I don't even understand why people ask it.

Find your own meaning for your own life through whatever means you choose; whether it be religious or whatever you come to understand that will fulfill you, those in your life, and possibly (in my opinion, hopefully) God.

I did/do ask it a lot. I do indeed have to remind myself rather often that the meaning of life is what I make of it.
