hi all ! hope you will be able to help me on this one as you have always done.
To connect to the internet through DSL I use an external USB modem (I know I know, I will switch to an Ethernet one). I want to use the internal modem to send fax (using the "fax pdf document" command in Pages for example). It does not work. Do I need to do something special with my modem before I can send fax ? Yes my internal modem is connected to the phone line. Thanks all ! Take care ! Nico iMacG5 20" 1stGen 1.8 GHz- 2Go - OSX 10.5.2 - iLife'08 - iWork'08 |

If you're using your modem for internet connection, you'll want to check
System Prefs -> Network -> Network port config (internal modem) --- to set network options for modem Make sure modem config is set to detect dial tone, tone dial not pulse, and any other tickboxes relevant or peculiar for parisian telcos For pure fax usage, System Prefs -> Print & Fax -> Faxing -> Set up Faxmodem (to set up faxing options a lá Printer Setup) |

If you fax a lot and need a mobile solution, check out eFax.com. Highly recommended.
