Title.
Is there any way to get the calculator app to show group separators (i.e. commas or dots)? If not is there a calculator app that does have them? |

The little calculator-widget in Dashboard shows them.

Yeah I've used that one, but using the dashboard for calculations is just annoying. I've noticed that copying the results from the regular calculator app and pasting them into something else shows numbers with commas. WTF?
I figure there's got to be a terminal hack or something that'll allow you to do it with the calculator app. Or someone somewhere else produced an alternate app that does what I want. Google searches turn up nothing in terms of apps. Last edited by Yochanan : 2005-11-07 at 17:42. |

Thanks for the help anyway julesstoop. I'll probably just take this request up with Apple.

Just a little heads up for you guys: Evaluate 0.95. Doesn't have separators, but distinctly better than the default calculator widget. It looks like Calculator.app's tape, but takes input directly. Has variables and basic Javascript math functions: sin(), exp(), etc.
Is dot a group separator anywhere? I'm under the impression the separator is comma in the US, space in Europe... |

Anything not Dashboard? I can't stand using Dashboard for involved calculations.
