I guess it took me a long time, but I finally got me a scam email trying to look like it was from eBay. Pretty funny shit. I'll wager that this email was not typed out by a college grad.

I forwarded it to eBay, but not sure what that'll do. The link actually takes you here: http://pressanykeytocontinue.org/myaccount.php I don't know enough about this stuff to mess this guy's life up, which is really a shame. Oh well, good for a laugh. It's kind of funny really, you click the link, and can sign in with whatever combination of name/password you want to enter. Check the cool intro screen: |

Man, no one is safe from anything. I picture Brad dropping into a room on wires in a black T-shirt and headset.

The dentist is the first hit on Google for "354 Garratt Lane" + London. Probably not even our scammer.
The registration info is from the "whois" program (runnable on a Terminal.app near you, hours of fun for all the family, etc...). |

IIRC, there are a few 'visual traceroute' apps (mostly paid not free/shareware) that will display hosts overlaid on street maps. Not saying the address might not be spoofed, but if you want the modern counterintelligence gizmo feel... command line is so...

Heywouldyoulookatthat?
Handy dandy "Similar Threads" down below has it listed... was that there before my link? (keywords including ebay and scam might have had it there and I just didn't scroll down) |

One of the few guys here - probably LoCash too - who'd know that. Good stuff. |

I'll give him a call. Maybe I can get someone from the RCMP via a contact in immigration.
So this is where everyone went... |

Don't repeat it too far, but I might just buy one of them iMacs -- they're still too expensive for what you get. Waiting on the first rev, and Matsu's own edu discount.
BTW, The P-P-P Powerbook story rocks... |
