I'm willing to bet most of you don't follow the Star Wars comics and novels, but this cover is too much gold not to share.

Star Wars horror "in the vein of The Shining". But really, who cares what it's about? I just love the art! True that a picture is worth a thousand words- or an entire novel.

Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?

Oh, sorry about the whole headless thing.

Yep. (Is it surprising I like Star Wars, or horror? I don't particularly like latter but I love the former and will ramble about the EU for HOURS if you let me.)

Red shirts vs. stormtroopers?

Red shirts die at the drop of a hat, but stormtroopers can't hit the broadside of a barn. Man, that would be an awesome battle to see.

Exactly. It would be a standoff because the stormtroopers wouldn't kill any of the red shirts. It could go on for days.

"TK421, why aren't you at your post?"

"He's at the practice range, sir."

"Good. Him and the rest of these clowns need it because none of them could shoot a farmer, smuggler, 8-foot monkey, a chick, a senior citizen and two droids..."

George Lucas agrees, Han shot first!

Almost impossible to see in this picture, but the design is visible enough to match it to a shirt with the phrase "Han Shot First."

Apparently the whole Greedo/Han controversy is possibly not even Lucas' fault, but rather the MPAA's (just one more reason to hate them). When Star Wars originally came out in 1977, there was no such thing as a PG-13 rating. When it was re-released, though, it also had to be re-rated, and one of the sticking points was that scene. Leaving it as-is would have resulted in a PG-13 rating, so instead they had Han shoot in self-defense, which allowed them to keep the PG rating.

A bad decision on Lucas' part to mess with a scene like that just to keep a specific rating, but it's not totally his fault.

Wow, I've never read that before. I'm glad you brought it to my attention. +1
