I want the ability to watch recorded tv shows on an ibook.
The EyeTV sounds pretty cool but your computer must be on at all times and the firewire version is kinda pricey at $300+. I also looked at the Lite-On DVD recorder which sells for $180 but the media may turn out to be expsive to keep burning endless DVD and not sure how good the DVD-RW will hold up under daiyly recordings/deletions. The third option is getting a Tivo or Replay tv device that I can download the shows to my lap top. But seems a waste as I do not have cable nor plan to get it anytime soon (mostly watch PBS and network TV) And lastly, I looked into Bittorrent but that takes around 3-4 hours of download time per show and not everyshow I watch is posted. Any suggestions or someone who has done this? |
