So my number of fonts is getting up there, is there a better way to organize them so I don't have to go through 300 fonts to find one? Is there a way to have folders of fonts or do I need to have them all in font book to work?

You cannot place fonts in other folders (while having them remain active), as far as I know, but you can set up collections in Font Book which will show up in font panels as well.
There are third-party tools for font management as well (such as FontExplorer X, Suitcase Fusion and Fontcase). |
