I recently purchased a Canon digital camera for my Daughter. After installing the software on my account (as the administrator - eMac would only let me install the camera software) I went into iPhoto and it immediately recognized the camera.

Unfortunately - after changing my daughters account settings (enabling her as an administrator as well), sucessfully downloading the software iPhoto will not recognize the camera under her account. Is it impossible to share on camera among various accounts on one computer?

iPhoto works without any Canon software. If you are going to use iPhoto, then you should uninstall the Canon software.

Yeah, I had lots of problems with Canon's crappy software. Just skip it entirely and use iPhoto under both user accounts, and it ought to work fine.
