It is spamming whether you think so or not. It's called going to one site and posting for the sole purpose of promoting another site. It was also your first post after registration... that kind of gives it away, ballknot.

Yeah, it's not spamming, it's just registering at an online forum, posting an off-topic thread, and directing people to your website. Right. Not spamming AT ALL.
