Gruber over at Daring Fireball just posted a link to this spoof of the "Get a Mac" ad campaign. It's Opera vs. iPhone.

Opera Mini vs. iPhone

I have Opera Mini on my RAZR and it's not a bad browser, but my phone sucks for going online. I hate to use it, i only use it when i have to wait for something and have nothing else to do.

I guess they're just trying to be the browser for everyone else, i.e.; people who don't have an iPhone.

Opera Mini sucks. At least, it sucks on the BlackBerry.

It's slow, unstable, and difficult to navigate. And did I mention it's ugly? It displays a very crippled web experience, nothing like "the real web" we've seen that iPhone's Safari supports. I have little doubt that iPhone's Safari will blow it away.

Sure, it's better than nothing, but not by much.

Oh, and that video? Aaaaaaawkwaaaaard.

I felt creepy just watching it. Are these people trying to make an awful, amateurish advertisement? I understand the whole idea behind imitating cheap YouTube junk to make something "viral", but this just hurts.

Opera Mini doesn't even compare to what I've seen of Safari on the iPhone.

I use Opera Mini on my Samsung and it works much better than the built in browser, but it's still nowhere near the "real" internet...

Opera mini?!? I use Pocket IE rather than the mini version of Opera, if that gives you any indication of how pathetic it really is. Opera mobile is pretty capable but mini is just a glorified WAP browser.

What ever happened to MiniMo? I tired it on my 8125 for a while but when I upgraded to WM6 I never tried to find it again. Has it ever been updated and working?

Edit: Seems they are at v.2 now. Not too bad, just slow on my 200MHz ARM.

Plus, operamini seems like a retard. Not that the iPhone seems MUCH cooler.
