I tried to create a partition tonight using Bootcamp, but it threw up an error about some files being unable to be deleted and told me I needed to wipe my drive and create the partition afterward.

I'm understandably not keen to do this I tried a variety of different partition sizes but there were none that worked. I've (optimistically) repaired my disk permissions but I was reading on the Apple Knowledge Base that I may need to defrag my HDD - I tried to use iDefrag (running under Rosetta) to do this but it threw up an error saying journal header incorrect when I selected the volume.

Anyone got any ideas? If I do reformat I'd have to fix Apple's Ruby install again, which I'm not wild about doing (having done it twice in the past 2 months).

TIA <3
