I had Butler over LSU, but I nailed the others. 2 of 3 for me.

Those 8/9 games are always a tough call. I picked Butler, too. I need to get over my bias against SEC teams. Not that they're that good but I can't *always* pick against them in a push... Maybe next year. Or not.

I've got Maryland in my Sweet 16. Any team that beats the Heels gets my respect. Except BC because they are playing MSU in the 2nd round.

I picked Maryland, but I wanted Cal to win. Oh, well. There's always next year.

That would be a big one. Although I don't think the Big East is nearly as awesome this year as everyone has said it is.
But it's only halftime. Long way to go. 10 point leads at the half can evaporate awfully quickly. A good brain ain't diddly if you don't have the facts - Ani DiFranco |

I'd be screwed if Nova lost. They're in my Final 8 (matched up against another Big East team - Pitt). Maybe I respect the Big East too much? I know I hate playing them.

Did people pick Villanova because it sounds like AppleNova? Hmmm...

Having watched American all season I chose them to go through the 2nd round and lose in the 3rd. Strong team of hungry kids.

My upset is UW over FSU.
And I like UCLA over 'Nova. I think the tournament was a fluke. They came seconds away from giving it up to Marquette, anyway. And Marquette has the caliber to take down Missou. Missou is soft, who'd they beat to get a 3 seed anyway. I think its BS. Also coming from a Marquette alum.. tho... User formally known as Sh0eWax |

Blasphemy! You and I cannot speak.
FSU will make it to the third round and loose to Pitt. Though, they're in an easy bracket and have potential to take the whole region. A rematch with Duke for the region would be pretty awesome. Unlikely, but awesome. I'm an alumni. What do you want from me? |

Reason to cheer for Maryland #27: Their band plays the theme to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of their song set in this year's tournament. Unfortunately, I don't have video, but still...much respect.

Ohh!! My CSUN what happened? Nevertheless, I think Md has a good shot against Memphis now that the Tigers couldn't murder a 1200 seat gym, Big West team..
WKU? I picked these guys to win, and they almost blew a huge lead because they can't deal with the full court press... Gonz is watching.. I think UCLA actually played pretty well.. They almost blew it but VCU actually is a really good team it seems. I have them losing the Villanova though. So far.. my Sweet 16 is still alive... JTA |

15/16 for Day 1! Only one I missed was LSU.
Today's the big day though, FSU is playing in the tournament for the first time in 11 years at 9:55p EST. Pretty excited. |

I picked the wrong 5/12 upset yesterday. I hope I get today's right. I have FSU winning (until they hit Pitt) and Arizona also advancing but losing in the 2nd round. They have a long history of disappointing me so I never pick them any longer than I have to.

No, I didn't get into that one this year. By the time I found the reminder email it was to late to sign up. You'll just have to take my word for my scores.

That was close. Bracket saved.
Tenn losing hurts a bit though... |
