Check this out

Contact server on my activity monitor image

http://lh3.google.com/velauno/R2HYTD...tactserver.jpg

Every time I restart the computer this little process runs.
Once i force quit it it will not reappear.
The obvious solution is to just quit the process but why does it start in the first place?

The computer is new imac with leopard and 3 gigs of ram. It slows to a crawl until i quit this thing. Any ideas on getting rid of it for good would be appreciated.

thanks

The jpeg is way too small - when I try to zoom in it pixelates.

Check here. Do you have Now Contact or Now Up-to-Date installed?

That makes sense as I migrated my system from a computer that had NUD
The problem was that I removed the program by throwing it in the trash and not by uninstalling.

How can i get rid of the offensive process now?

You're welcome.

I don't really know that much, but I do know how to operate a Google search box.
