Hi.

I recently purchased a Samsung 80 GB HD and am at my whits ends. I try everything and it won't work. Samsung is clueless, apple won't talk to me. The HD will work as an external to read and write to but when intalled with the OSX software it will not boot at all. I get a screen full of writing ending with "we are hanging here..." Any ideas???

What computer did you install it in? Did you format it before trying to install OS X? Did you check your jumper settings? If you could provide more information, I bet someone here can help you.

Oh, and since this is tech support, I'll move it over to the Genius Bar.

Thanks for replying. I installed it into a Powerbook g4 Titanium. It was formatted, no jumper came installed on it. Still no help from Samsung as of yet. Now I installed the factory 30 gig back into it. Any help from someone who has gone through this or knows what to try is VERY greatly appreciated.
