I found this a little amusing, and am glad to be on the very top tier!

I'm obviously and without doubt at the very top, because I use (gasp!) multiple languages, believing in "right tool for the right job".
And Java sucks. |

I like all the double-headed arrows.
ADA, Pascal and Java programmers don't consider themselves superior to VB and JS programmers? |

This isn't entirely accurate... I'm an OO PHP developer, and I consider myself superior to python programmers
Though, I also know Ruby and Scheme pretty well... Maybe that's why I think Python is gross I really have nothing to put here, but I feel it's rather strange to not have one. |

If you can't do it in COBOL, then does it really need to be done?

At first I thought computers were asexual, but then realized they had all those 1s and 0s.... much more than you possibly ever could shake a stick at.

Wait, wait, wait...
Where are the programming language researchers? Oh right. Next level of abstraction, just above a little box that says 'Programmers - see Infighting graph' |

Seems completely arbitrary to me. Perl and Ruby above practically everything? Javascript and PHP above Java?
And why LISP when many institutions around the world use it to teach entry-level CS? My first classes were taught in Pascal and MIT Scheme. |

The list is also missing perhaps the most important programming languages of all: TI calculator BASIC and Z80 assembly...

Have you ever spoken to a Lisp Programmer? Just because it's taught first doesn't mean it's not an... egotistic language. I really have nothing to put here, but I feel it's rather strange to not have one. |

Who thought it would be a good idea to put an 's' in lisp? Ridiculous.

"Lisp" is not just a descriptive word, it's also a test.

After using a real 32-bit RISC embedded processor, I now realize how incredibly limited the z80 actually was. Holy cow, how did I ever write software for that?

OTOH, it does let me state with some weight that Java the language isn't horrible. The *BYTECODE* system is freaking brain-dead, and should have stayed on the damned toasters, though. |
