I don't know what's with the new screens, when you look at them dead center at a 90-ish degree angle, you have an excellent screen.

But move any other way, and contrast and everything changes including evenness of illumination. Move far enough and the colours solarize like film negative.

Means black quickly shades to light grey. Also means if the screen is mostly black it's impossible because there's areas that aren't. And there's no real way to adjust the black point.. I've already encountered problems with comics that are dark colours.

I suppose that's the nature of the laptop screen.. on my desktop lcd at work, black stays black, and the viewing angles are fairly wide.
