Well here is the deal. A friend of mine has asked me to put his cousin's daughter on the face of a cat. While I am not to keen on doing favors for my friends cousin's daughter, I saw how young and cute she is. I was hoping that you guys could help me in two ways.

1) Get me (hi quality) images of cats that would fit

2) Give it a go and try to put her face on a cat, and show off your skillz while making a little girl smile.

I ask for help because I don't have a lot of time to work with. Really he needs it by friday. So I'm just looking for a printable (as in resolution good enough to be printed...I guess it doesn't have to be amazing since it's for a little girl who won't notice) copy.

Thanks, and if you do one better the me, I'll of course give you credit, and not lie and say I did it.

While I don't have access to any decent hi res cat pics, I did dabble because I was confident I could not do a decent job (and still have it resemble her)...

I was right, and, just for giggles, I share my nightmarish picture below...

I'm freaking out man...

I call this "Boddingtons-Inspired Cheshire"

But I'm not adverse to doing a real version (not sucky) if there is a hi res cat pic provided...

Key is to make her smile not scare her

I think it's going to be really hard, that is why I asked people around here. I am going to try today after classes, but so far I am not very confident.

Holy shit!

john, only an observation (you obviously have some skills) but: that would've worked OK except the human features are still too large relative to the proportions we see on a cat, and the hairless part of the face gives it sort of a "Planet of the Apes - DNA experiment gone haywire" kind of look.

I will give it a go later today if I can ast3r3x... I might be able to do something cool with an hour or two of work.

I was under the influence at the time. Only lined up the eyes, no attempt at proportions after that

Thanks for giving me a good laugh, ZO.

That does look nice brad, but still the human on cat approach is generally freaky looking no matter how good its done. I think the cat on human approach is more cute and generally palpable.

I'd whip something up, but, um, I gave at the office. *runs*

Agreed! I still think my looks uber-creepy, but not so much as johnq's.

I'll try to whip up a cat-on-human twist later tonight and, ast3r3x, I'll e-mail those two to you later tonight too.

Never-freakin-mind! Google has some weird weird stuff if you do a search using some of the above terms.

I'll just send you the ones I've done so far and try hard to forget this experience.

I was working on one, but I'm currently procrastinating drug (and that's legal drugs Jack ) research. I'll try again later if I have time.

Calver's Ugly Zoo has some oddities on this theme. Open Directory too.

Imagina has some more surrealist variations.
