Hi there,
I have some large (one is 18GB) QuickTime files on a portable fw-800 hard drive (I have a MacBook Pro, running Leopard). I need to give them to a friend who's putting together a web site for me... and he's a PC user.
My drive is Mac-formatted, of course. My PC friend has only Windows-formatted drives (he has a laptop running Vista).
I'll be seeing this guy tomorrow, and I'm wondering how I can give him these files.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Malcolm

MacDrive should work

I haven't used it myself, but it seems to be just the thing you need

Otherwise, you could always bring your computer and transfer the files to him over a network. Just make sure you bring ethernet cables - wireless networks suck for large file transfers.

Yeah with Macdrive you'll be able to read the Mac partition. Don't know if there's a demo or something... I don't think it worth paying for one time. You should transfer the file over network. It will be fast enough for 0$

It seems there is a 5 day demo for MacDrive... but Ethernet is also i good option.

There's also a Java app that can read mac drives. It can't mount them in windows, but you can browse them and save files to the pc's drive.
