Do you think all the news and buzz about the Sidekick 2 (both positive and negative) might be attracting Apple's attention? I would really love an elegant Apple version of the SK2, which while functional is so clunky, in various ways.

I can tell that this is only your first or second post here w/o even looking at your profile. Oh wow! Would you look at that, it IS your second post... lots of similar posts around the Speculation and Rumors area of AN. Maybe searching might answer your question Mag.

Thank you for your patronizing response. Before I posted I did a search on "sidekick" and "hiptop" and nothing relevant was found. But if this is a place where you physically have to read every thread before daring to make a post, I'll be happy not to burden you further with my n00b errors.

Ok, I apologize. But as for your question, it's not very likely that Apple is going to come out with a product like the Sidekick. It looks like Motorola is already planning on releasing iTunes enabled phones. Apple also hasn't released anything in the handheld department for quite a while. So I'd say a Sidekick-like Apple product isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I'm not without sin, never said I was. And yes, I'll admit, I didn't search now did I. I do all the time now (haven't seen many posts where I haven't searched!) And as I said, there is a very similar topic already being discussed.

Just a slight jab .Hack, don't get too offended.

It just struck me as odd since you only started that thread 3 days ago and you're essentially saying only 'n00bs' make these mistakes. I even searched for 'Sidekick' and came up with squat.
