I'm pretty sure that the new H-P ad (at least in New Zealand) uses the same plunk-plunk music as the old Apple Switchers ads.

The ad is for a dual core pavilion laptop. What's up with that?

Haven't seen the ad, but the music in the Switch ads is called 'Spit' by John Murphy. No idea if it's stock.

It wouldn't be the first time. Back when the switch ads were still in circulation, several other ads sprung up with the same style and similar plucky guitar + piano + harp + drum background music. Heck, I even remember it being used for some politician's "vote for me" commercial.
