Hmmm.... well that didn't go well. Sorry if you just got booted.

I'm trying to install an untangle server on my network but it seems to have killed all traffic on it. Rather than letting me work my way through and limit it just stopped everything. I'll have to revisit it and hopefully not stop all traffic again.

Generator install happening right now. Going to load test, the server is on a battery backup though so it shouldn't miss a beat.

So I have a generator now for those times when longer than a blip power outages happen. It's a manual bus transfer so I have to physically connect the generator and swap breakers, but at least it will limit extended outages.

So as many might know there is a big storm that is beating up Brad right now and heading my way.


So if the game doesn't load, I'm likely trying to hook my generator up or Verizon is down.

So far we are doing really good. Sustained winds at my house are about 20mph. We've only had about an inch of rain today. It is supposed to get worse I think, but now that Dorian is only a cat 1 I don't expect it to really be bad for us. Power flickered once so far this morning since I've been awake so who knows if it will stay stable or not.

Figure I'll say officially that the server was never effected by the hurricane and none of my property was either. We rode through it just fine. We topped out at 32mph winds from what I saw and 2.73" of rain at my house.

I'm guessing the errors when starting the server are something to do with your mod. Not sure if you've seen them or not yet but they start like this:

I did restart the server this evening. I meant to get on earlier but when I went to do it two days ago someone was on and I was woking remotely. Anyway, see if it is more stable now.

I’m having networking issues right. Trying to resolve them.

Ok. My network seems to be fixed again. I think part of it was issue with my FiOS and this soaking rain/mist thing going on here for the last few days. Some was an actual issue in the network. I have one more change to make later, but it shouldn't effect the network directly, just the controller for it. I'll post an update on here when I go to make the changes so it doesn't catch anyone by surprise if there is an issue.

I'm doing some things with my network right now. It shouldn't impact access, but no one is on the server right now anyway.

All my network changes have been completed. No loss of connectivity that I saw either. We should be good to go for the foreseeable future.

Looks like my FiOS connection is a bit unstable right now. Not sure why. Hopefully it is short lived and no one gets dropped by the server for it.
