These are usually sarcastic threads, but this new offering from Gateway really has me scared.
Gateway Rolls Out New All-in-One PC I'd buy this machine based on looks alone: WHERE'S THE COMPUTER?? I really like how they've managed to color match the power brick to the computer. They're really starting to take care of the "little things". I can't wait for the guys at GatewayInsider to run Xbench on this beast. |

All it needs is a bit of wood paneling, and you've got yourself one killer mid-80's game console.

And the comment about it being an 80's game console is spot on! Jeezus... realize that this thing somehow passed through several design stages & budget approvals to get this far... and NOBODY at Gateway stood up and said, "Wait a minute, this thing looks like S#!T!!" |

I could swear I've seen that thing before. I could swear it turned up on the set of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Somewhere down in that bunker, amidst all the flashing lights . . .

Speaking of wood panelling, do you think anyone will release a "dash kit" for the new iMac G5?
For some reason wood panelling always makes me think of '70's porn. |

wtf!? lol
ohh good stuff <wipes eyes> I can only imagine Apple has a network of spies planted in various R&D labs that intentionally steer PC companies towards making crap like this. Actually, I thought it looked much more like an Atari 2600 than Coleco with its futuristic disc controller

You're thinking Intellivision. Colecovision just had a joystick with a round knob on top. Intellivision had a nifty round touchpad.
