I'm looking for a good pair of in ears. I am looking, well not for something cheap, but the cheaper the better as long as they don't suck. I don't really want to spend more then $100 if possible, I don't need westtone e3's or shure e5's.
I was looking at Etyomotic ER6 Isolators. Are they any good, are they worth the $99? Anything better for the same price, or even cheaper? I was hoping some people have more knowledge on this than I do, because I can't trust just specs. |

The Etymotic ER6's are a very good buy. I own a pair. I can wear them for long periods of time without discomfort and they sound great.

Those look a lot like the Apple in ear phones. They don't look too bad, but I don't know much about them. If it means anything, I've never been disappointed with a Griffin product.

Does anyone know if there is a big difference between the ER-6 and the ER-6i headphones? I mean it says more bass and 8dB higher sensitivity...am I going to notice?
I do like the white a lot better though. But I can live loosing a little style. Plus it seems that ER-6i's are sold out everywhere. Basically, is it worth the extra $30? |

If you have a budget limit of $100, you should go right to it - the Shure E2c is $99. Compared to the Apple in-ear earbuds (probably crap, or at least overpriced, given Apple's history), the Sony EX-71s (okay but not that great), and those Griffin monstrosities, the Shures should be well worth the extra money.
You should probably look at the Shures and the Etymotics. Those are excellent buds and they should blow away the Sonys. |

Anyone know the freq. response to E2c? I can't find it. So, E2c ($70), E3c ($130), ER-6 ($95), or ER-6i ($125)? I just don't want to be spending the extra $30 because they're white and give better base...which I guess I believe. |

Do we go to the same newegg? They've got some of the cheapest prices on the net, and I trust them too. I have a problem giving my credit card info to a guy named dave who misspells the word "Mac"

I got my ER-6i ear buds and they are very good. I didn't noticed how much better they sounded, but when I tried to go back to the original iPod earbuds, it sounded HORRIBLE
They dampen sound pretty well, it's nice that I don't have to play my music as loud when I mow. Only 3/4 of the iPod volume instead of almost full. But that was too loud on some songs. |
