Hmm, so its 99c extra per song to get some stupid ringtone?

Meh. Not for me, but I guess some people might like it.

Edit: Shit, Im sure I put this in Apple Products! Could a mod move please

Yeah, I had the same reaction, until a buddy pointed out that $.99 is still significantly less than anyone else.

As long as the allow me to sync up *any* audio file I want with the iPhone as a ringtone, they can charge whatever they want for other folks who would rather have one ready to go, or have iTunes walk them through the editing process.

...but they aren't allowing that, as far as I understand. It works for previously purchased iTS music, and of that 500,000 pre-selected songs from the catalog.

Wow, it's the new poster child for why DRM sucks. Even if they tried, they couldn't more clearly state that you need to buy the exact same thing twice in order to use it in two different ways. Usually you kinda try to hide that.

Ugh.

Is that how it works it looks like the ringtone feature itself is 99cents so if you already have a ringtone selected song you need to purchase that jazzy fade in fade out enabler. Otherwise it's 2.00, is that right?
