Well, My MacBook died (got in fight with significant other, and my computer ends up being thrown into a doorknob, we got over it and still together). Anyway... it was just 20 months old and I was waiting to get a Clarksfield Macbook Pro. Considering I needed a laptop that was capable of running VMware and Windows 7 RC comfortably I decided to just get this gateway, at that a gateway desktop. It's small, I didn't care what software it came with, all I really needed was google docs and spreadsheets for my needs.

While windows 7 is pretty neat, it's no Mac OS. Missing expose, spaces, dock, time machine and just general neatness. Though Apple really needs to make Apple TV look as neat as WMC, it's just fun to look at to be honest. Now back on point, how long do you think a clarksfield laptop will be coming out, 7 months?

Another point of contention is can I get my music off my time machine? Or worse yet, what should I be doing with my iPhone, considering the time that will be passing and incompatibiliy and my music being on time machine, until Clarksfield comes out?

Didn't get a new Mac casuse I needed a new computer within the day and refurbished macs were untimely and a new mac seemed silly to me considering my plans.

We have a very argumentetive relationship, albeit, this was the worst example of such. So I suppose yes, it was murdered.

But that right now is the least of my worries.

I'm also waiting for Nehalem laptops. But good luck waiting for Clarksfield in a MacBook Pro. I think they'll use Arrandale even in the Pro, coupled with NVIDIA or maybe ATI graphics.

Yup. Arrandale MBPs, early 2010...so there might be a bit of a wait for you, cosus (another six months?).
