Actually, the downtime gave me a push to visit our old FTB world. I never did try after I asked for the download file, but I got it working after some hoop-jumping (I even found Brad's texture pack after searching forever). Fun!

I may turn on Forestry and Bees since it's local now and see what happens....

So from what I'm seeing, the early tests with 1.8 mods coming out are that they've virtually eliminated server lag, since you mention FTB, 709.

Something appears to be wrong. When I logged in, I was in downtown with a completely empty inventory.

Logged out and back in, went out to where I was working. Progress is mostly correct, but my armor, tools, weapons, etc. are gone.

Ken, I've replaced your player data fail with the one from the backup before the PSU failure. Let me know if that works for you.

I had to take down the host for the MC server today. No one was on at the time and I did an extra backup before doing a clean shutdown. If anyone notices any anomalies please let me know. I'm not going to be getting on the game tonight but everything looks good from the logs.

I need to do host machine updates. So the game server is going to be down for a little bit while I make the changes. The game server will be up when I'm done, though I'll try to post here either way.

So the updates are taking forever on the host so I'm bringing up the game server again. I’ll stop it once I'm ready to reboot the host, but I'll make sure no one is playing when I do. Then it should be a quick reboot.

It finally got all the updates ready so I've shutdown the game server and am doing the host updates. The game will come back up once they have finished. Brad, I'll leave the server OS updates for you. Last time I did it Java got updated and I had to figure out that. I'm not ready to put that time in yet.

Looks like we might need to upgrade to 1.11.2 for map generation reasons. There are other cool features too. I'm kinda hoping Brad sees this and jumps in, but if not I might beat him to it.
