Apple continues its poor naming skillz: iPod, iPhone (which should have been "iPod") and now iPad. C'est la vie. Not like it's keeping me from buying one.

The book UIs are very well thought out so far: Calendar, Contacts. Seems like Mail could have done this too though.

Love the Corbu chair he's in.

The bezel is much bigger than I expected. I guess people will say it's so you don't get fingerprints on the screen.

Store is still up - I can only assume that means that it will not be available for purchase today.

I don't see this selling all that well. It seems to be an oversized iPod touch IMO.

Looks too big to hold comfortably, to type you'd have to put it down.

I think he's saving the truly new/revolutionary components for later in the demo.

I can accept the iPhone having limitations like that, but this? No thanks.

No Flash, I assume from the plugin error in the pics. No surprise either. I hate flash anyway though.

Keyboard just apes the alu keyboard looks. No biggie, big buttons are good if not as attractive.

I dunno, it depends on how much input you have on this thing. Certianly prolonged web browsing on the iPhone and prolonged typing is painful. Adding photos, editing albums, editing and creating playlists, shopping on iTunes, etc. all need to be there in an improved way.

Big bezxel is very important from an ergonomics point of view. You need area to hold it by. You can argue over whether it needs it on all sides, but given its profile (no top/bottom) and that it goes landscape and portrait, seems like you have to do it this way.

I think that this was going to be a given with a device like that. It is not an iPhone or a Touch. It is meant to be portable, but not meant to be used while holding it.

Lost my update feeds, so I have no idea what's being talked about. But, so far, it's fairly tame, expected stuff. Hope he gets to the juice soon...

Engadget correctly pointing out this is all a tease / not what this thing is about. iTunes... expected and a nice UI tweak for the screen size.

The home screen looks like a bucktoothed iPhone home screen. I really thought they'd do something more than stretch out the already dated homescreen. I hope they have something later that shows that I'm wrong.
