I've been mulling over getting one of these but I'm not sure if it's worth the 200 bucks. I've got an old PowerShot A40 and spending that kinda money on a relatively aged camera seems dumb. Anyone here have experience with underwater cases? Are they reliable? Do the pictures turn out well or does it look like they are taken through a window?

There's no way in hell I'd spend $200 on a underwater case for an A70. Or any PAS camera. If you've got a friend or relative with a D70, I think they make some decent underwater caseings for that.

Try a search at bhphotovideo.com and see what you can come up with, if anyone has what you're looking for, they do. As for quality, I imagine using a PAS underwater with a tiny lens, is not going to produce many good results. You need an SLR with a real lens down there....
